Afternoon & Evening

the world-famous San Diego Zoo near downtown San Diego is amazing, but equally so, is their sister habitat, The San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Take a Caravan safari for close-up views of animals or take a stroll down the Australian Walkabout to see kangaroos, wallabies and more.

Day 3

Morning

Wake up early for a walk at the hidden gem, Batiquitos Lagoon this nature reserve and designated marine protected area is one of the few remaining tidal wetlands on the southern California coast.

Next, don’t miss a visit to the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum. This free museum features wood and metalworking craftsmanship at the small end of the size scale.

Afternoon

Visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields if they are in bloom, and stop by the Gemological Institute of America Museum. Cut, clarity, color, and carat, are on view in the form of hundreds of gems, diamonds, and other rare stones.

Evening

Downtown Carlsbad is a beach village, home to a variety of Fine dining Experiences and music festivals. It’s a perfect way to wrap up your day.
