I bought my Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare as a single woman in my early 30s and have zero Regrets. Moreover, I’m so sure it’s been worth it that I think it’s one of my best decisions yet.

Before discovering Hilton Grand Vacations, I thought timeshares were for retirees or families who wanted to go to the same place every year. But I’m pretty far from retirement, and I’m single. Plus, I love Traveling the world. So, you may be wondering why on earth I would purchase a timeshare at this stage in my life.

I’ll tell you. Vacation ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations is the timeshare game-changer.

Here’s my honest review as a Hilton Grand Vacations Owner and why I think everyone should invest in vacation ownership — no matter your age or stage.

The Investment

Sure, it’s not an investment like stocks and bonds or your 401k, but it is an investment in your life and well-being. It’s an investment in travel and the intangible ways it enhances our life and gives us a better sense of the world.

Even if you don’t travel each year, vacation ownership means you’re actively thinking about or planning to travel each year — both of which can be equally enjoyable.

The Points-Based System

You can customize your Annual points allotment and how you use them. Instead of the traditional idea of having a set week each year in a set location, the points system offers flexibility. You have the option to return to your favorite destinations or explore new places every time.

Visit beaches, cities, mountains, Amazing pools — whatever suits your travel mood. And choose the length of stay that works for you: long weekends, extended stays, or anything in between.

The Hilton Portfolio of Brands

As a long-time Hilton traveler, knowing that the Hilton name backs Hilton Grand Vacations makes all the difference. If you’re familiar with the Hilton portfolio of brands, you know you can expect your experience to be pleasant, clean and consistent.

But it’s more than that. You also have the option to transfer your Hilton Grand Vacations ClubPoints to Hilton Honors™ points and use them for stays at Hilton portfolio properties worldwide. So, for example, if you’re planning a trip to a location without any Hilton Grand Vacations resorts, you can transfer your points to Hilton Honors and go anyway.

The Lifetime of Vacations

In my opinion, this might be one of the biggest draws to buying young. You literally have your entire life to use it. Hopefully, I’ll be traveling for many decades to come. My ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations will afford me so many opportunities to explore new places, relax on a beach, or have a chill weekend sitting by amazing pools.

Simply put, the younger you are, the more years you have to enjoy it. Finally, at the risk of sounding morbid, when you pass away, you can leave it to your loved ones so they can keep enjoying it.

The Value of Timeshare

I could keep going, but the fact is that I love my ownership. I’ve traveled with family members, explored new places with friends, and I’ve loved the solo trips I’ve taken. The resorts are incredible, and honestly, without vacation ownership, I would never stay at such beautiful resorts.

It has been A thousand Percent worth it. Plus, now, with Hilton Grand Vacations acquiring Diamond Resorts International, we can choose from even more destinations around the world to explore. But as is the case with most things, it’s not becoming any less expensive to travel, so if you’re on the fence, now is the time.
