Summary: A Hilton Grand Vacations Owner shares how he spends vacations in Tucson, Arizona.

My original introduction to timeshare was approximately 25 years ago at the Varsity Clubs of America–Tucson, located in midtown Tucson, Arizona. When I was a kid, I learned that Tucson represented four of Arizona’s C’s of the economy — copper, cotton, climate and cattle. The four C’s still exist, but there’s so much more available for visitors to explore now.

Things To Do In Tucson, Arizona

Tucson, also known as “Old Pueblo,” represents Arizona’s mixed Native American, Mexican, Spanish and pioneer cowboy cultures. There’s so much to see in Tucson, including:

Tucson also has the reputation of having the best Mexican restaurants in the United States, and I must agree.

The area is also known for its diverse vegetation and topography. Explore the Saguaro National Park, full of trails and unique desert wildlife. Or drive to the nearly 10,000-foot-high Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains to enjoy hiking, skiing and rock climbing. Sabino Canyon is also a must-see, whether on foot or by shuttle. Experience the desert scenery by horse and spend a day at a dude ranch.

There’s also a variety of road trips to take. Tucson is about an hour’s drive north of the U. S.-Mexico border. Tourists can walk across the border in Nogales for curios and a taste of border life. Tucson is also a few hours from the famous movie “Gunfight at the O. K. Corral” in Tombstone, Arizona. Time warp to Bisbee, Arizona, a copper-mining community that appears to be in the 1800s. In the same region, Patagonia, Arizona, is world-renowned for its bird-watching opportunities.
